2 Sets PLC‑100 Tomato Nursery Seeding Machine with Watering Part Shipped to Bolivia
We completed and dispatched 2 sets of our PLC‑100 automatic tomato nursery seeding machines with a watering function to a large‑scale commercial vegetable nursery in Bolivia. This real‑world project delivers fully customized tray seeding equipment to help the local producer upgrade from manual sowing to high‑efficiency automated seedling production.
Client profile of Bolivian commercial nursery
The customer manages a large commercial seedling nursery in Bolivia. They supply vegetable plug seedlings to local farms and agricultural distributors across the region. For a long time, the nursery completed seed sowing purely by hand. Manual work brought low daily output, and inconsistent sowing quality often affected seed germination results.
Facing growing market demand for vegetable seedlings, the customer decided to invest in automatic seeding lines. They chose our PLC‑100 model tomato nursery seeding machine to boost production capacity and stabilize seedling quality.

Suitable vegetable crops for seeding production
- This automated tray seeding line covers a wide selection of commercial vegetable varieties. Common crops include tomato, pepper, broccoli, and cauliflower.
- Melon varieties and leafy greens are also well‑supported. Operators can sow watermelon, muskmelon, cucumber, eggplant and lettuce with this set of equipment.
Flexible component adjustment lets one production line serve multiple seedling orders. The nursery can switch between different crops without major equipment modification.
Customized Setup for the tomato nursery seeding machine
- These two PLC‑100 units went through targeted custom rework to match the client’s actual nursery conditions. The machine frame was lengthened, and a full watering module was built into the production line.
- The equipment supports two different sizes of black plug trays. It is compatible with special 200‑hole trays of 665*334 mm, as well as regular 128‑hole and 200‑hole trays measuring 540*280 mm.
- An English‑language PLC control system is pre‑installed. Two extra non‑perforated seed suction bars are included, allowing fast switching among different vegetable seeds. The main frame is constructed from durable stainless steel.

Machine technical and working performance
- The machines are configured for local power supply: 220V, 60Hz single‑phase electricity. The sowing precision reaches 97‑98%. It handles seeds sized 0.3‑12 mm, and tray transport speed can be adjusted on demand.
- This tomato nursery seeding machine adopts an electric‑pneumatic working principle. Two 3 kW air compressors are provided as supporting units to maintain steady air pressure for continuous seeding operations.
- Integrated seeding and watering functions simplify workflow. Trays finish sowing and watering on a single line, reducing extra handling steps inside the nursery workshop.
Every unit passed full functional testing before packaging. The shipment includes two complete tomato nursery seeding machines along with matching air compressor assemblies. All machinery is packed in sturdy wooden cases. The wooden package provides solid protection against bumps and moisture for long‑distance ocean transit to Bolivia.

Expected project benefits for the end user
After putting this seeding line into service, the client will greatly reduce heavy manual sowing work. Labor pressure on the seedling workshop will be effectively relieved.
High‑precision sowing delivers more even germination and uniform seedling growth. This helps the nursery improve seedling quality and satisfy larger‑volume supply contracts.
Adjustable running speed supports both small‑batch trial runs and mass production. It brings higher operational flexibility and better economic returns for their commercial seedling business.
